1st qual was way ahead of 2nd when a wall sucked the GT2-E into it!!! Was able to get within 4 sec's of Luis in 1st. 2nd qual, by the timing line was in front of Luis and drove hard away, NEED a TQ for a clear shot at the first turn in the main. Got TQ by a lap!!!!!
Go at the tone! And I was gone driving away UNTIL Bobby got clear of the pack and ran me down and drove by like I was going the other way!!!!! Happy to keep 2nd!!!

TQ'd both qual's and drove away for the win! I thought, 2nd was just a few seconds behind!!!! So I didn't drive away just out drove the racer!!!!

Spec-R S2
Can not get the rear to stick in the corners, as I power out the rear will swing out! :-(
Started with 36R tires in first qual, NOT good. Changed to 32R for 2nd qual, after two laps took the car off the track, to stay out of the other racers way. Put 28R tires on, was able to get back on the track with one minute to go, needed to test that compound before the main. 28R was WAY better!!
Started in 3rd. Was in 2nd by the timing loop, 3rd at turn 3, held that for most of the main until I touched a pipe and 4th got by.
4th after all the above was GREAT!!!

Cell rang as I was packing, thought it was Gena so I just finished packing up and planned to call her as I left.
It wasn't Gena, it was Newred!! I WON the SC5M!!!!
Now to make the two hour road trip to pickup the SC5M and get some races in!!!

Newred Hobbies (Ocala, FL)
Wasn't feeling well, BUT Mike talked me into going to Newred's any way!!!

Only change from last month was the change to off road shocks.
NICE change, nice enough for a 2nd in the main!!!!

SC10GT-E
Mike and I had a good go at each other, during the qual's and the main.
Mike was able to out drive me for 1st, even though I started from the TQ position!!!

Hoped to race with John, but he didn't race at Newred's this day. :-(
Was able to TQ and out drive the local's for a 1st!!!.

Newred was holding a raffle for a AE SC5M at $20 a ticket, total of 15 tickets, that's better than the lottery!!!
Got a ticket, just before we left, you didn't need to be at the track when they drew the winning ticket.

Had the TQ in the 1st qual, lost it the 2nd qual :-(
Go at the tone by lap 4 was in the lead and drove away with the FIRST win of the day!!!

Lined up 2nd for the main by lap 5 was in the lead and drove away!!! For the SECOND win of the day!!!

Asked Kathy Mann for a broom for the awards picture after the VTA main. Figured I would have a "Clean Sweep" of the 3 classes I'm in. Just a few moments after asking. Thunder crashed and RAIN!!!!!
So, with the rain out the finishes for the rest of the races where by how the qual where per each class.

TQ'd both qual's, so that's a win in that class after the rains came.

Quaker Steak and Lube (Clearwater, FL)

Spec-R S2
13.5 spec class, trying to keep the GOOD set of tires for the main. Ran so bad, put tires on for the 2nd qual. BUT RAIN!!!! Took a 2nd place finish!

Was in 3rd until a pipe wanted to hug me!!! Was able to fix the loose bit to finish 6 of 7!!!! Again BUT RAIN!!!!!

3 kids, 3 adults ready to go at the tone. Let the other five have a go at getting around the first turn without me. :-) Pasted the racer in first down the front straight after the timing loop. Powered for two laps then kick back and just turned laps for a 21 lap finish, 2nd had 16 laps!!! Maybe I should have push it a bit!!!!!!
BUT RAIN came!!!
So, NOT happy rained out 3 of the last 4 races!!!!

Raced with Jasmine again. Same race deal, will not pass her unless you wreck and need a marshal or use reverse. Started to RAIN during the qual (first one of the day). Jassy didn't need a marshal or reverse, so I finished 2nd.

Then it POURED!!!!! Racing was done for the day!!!
So, I'll take the 2nd in SC class.

Went up with Mike and Hat, Mike drove Hat's car.

All three of us raced in Stadium Truck class, was able to finish 4th in front of Mike and Hat!!!

Drove my tail off to qual in 2nd for the main. Had a problem in turn two, Mike and John tangled then I rear ended John. Mike got away, then made a try to out run us. John took 4 laps to get by me then was just a couple feet behind Mike. When two marshal choose to stand up and talk to each other about two feet apart. Mike lost site of his Losi, hit a pipe behind these two marshals and John and I where gone!!
2nd was a GOOD finish!!
