Great day of racn'!!!

TQ and finished 1st in Ele Stadium Truck!!!

Had TQ in Ele SC until the 2nd qual and Ronnie bested me by 3/4 of a sec!!!

During the 2nd qual as I was jumping up on to the table top the WIND (it was 25 mph) caused the SC10 to bank to the left like a airplane and landed on to the berm of a turn like I had planed it!!!

Main I was 2nd coming out of the turn two, the pack ran me down by turn three :-) was seven by turn turn four, 2nd by turn 6! Had a back marker jump out of his lane and turned me and I never got close to Richard to take 2nd back!!

Did a SC10 setup comparsion to the XXXT-SC setup. Wanting a "Stock" or "Open" class option. From center to side of truck, there are some shock and link mount differences BUT not as much as I thought there would be.

Adjusted the XXXT-SC to the SC10 setup as close as the mount options allowed, tested on my "yard" track. WHAT a DIFFERENCE!!!! The rear isn't looping out like it did with the setup I had on it!

Hope to do some qualifier testing 12/26/10, IF it passes, I'll leave the SC10 in the car and race the XXXT-SC in the main!

Lil' Dover Short Course

Steve (race director) and I worked on getting the Losi XXXT-SC setup to race today. By the end of practice I thought the Losi was ready to race!! After the first of three qualifiers I parked the Losi and got the SC10 out. Missed TQ by 3 seconds :-(

BUT finished first in the 10 minute main with over a half lap lead on second.

Didn't race the T4 or the GT2-SC, to cold and the lipo batteries where charging very slow (lipo batteries don't like the cold).

Went to IL to see Dad and Mom, hoped to do some carpet or slot car racn' BUT with 5 inches of SNOW!!!! Was in NO hurry to get out into that so I just stayed in and enjoyed a LOT OF COFFEE!!! :-)

Built a Losi XXXT-SC about ten months ago for a racer, he didn't want it anymore so I own it now, hope it will be a worth addition to the race fleet! :-)

Lil' Dover SC

My step-son Tom went with me to race off road for the first time. He has ran off road RC's before, just in the yard or driveway never on a race track! He did well 4th in 2wd Ele truck, he got to watch me TQ and finish 1st in that class.

Richard and I were fender to fender for about 4 minutes in the Open Ele SC class for 1st, then the motor pinion on my car let loose. Still had enough laps to finish 6th out of 9 cars.

As the starter called "GO" in Nitro SC, I pulled the trigger and my SC-GT2 took off, literally it took off, the battery pack died and the throttle stuck wide OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!! A fellow racer grabed it and shut the motor down!!! Still got a 5th :-) out of five cars!!!

GREAT day of pit work!!!! Bearing went in the left rear hub of the SC-GT2. Seems I've forgotten how to tune a nitro engine, turned the high and low speed screws every way but into the trash can!!! Still finished 4th in Open SC class.

Rebuilt 13.5 motor in the SC10 choose to NOT get along with the Novak esc, so in went a different motor. Hope the new bearings come in soon for the LRP 13.5 motor (my favorite motor for the SC10). At the seven minute mark of the ten minute main the Deans connector came UN-soldered from the lipo so I was done!!! The Novak 6.5 Light motor smells like it's history!!! BUT :-) had enough laps in to finish 4th!

Had one of those DUMB day's!!!

Thought the trans (idler gear) striped, changed trans from the T4 into the SC10. Got everything button up as the call for everyone to check in for the first qual!!! Put the SC10 on the track and NO go!!! Checked the trans, as the first qual started, everything looked good!!! Then I saw the spur was toothless!!! The problem the whole time!!! :-(

Got on the track, finished with 5 laps. That was enough to know the setup changes wheren't working.

Lap 2 in the main I ripped the end off of the left CVD, no drive so I marshaled the rest of the race.

SC-GT2 was sweet had the lead as we came out of the last turn on lap one when three 4wd SC's jumped me, by the time the marshal had cleared the pileup I was last!!!! :-(

Was able to drive my way back through the pack for a 4th.

Put a AE 15 engine in place of the OS 12, thinking a RTR motoer would be a better fit to the SC track. Could not get it tuned corrctly, run great for about five laps then would bog, so I'm putting the OS back in!

Lil' Dover Short Course

First race after losing my best friend!! Dedicated the race to Dad!!

It's been a LLOOONNNGGGG time, that I raced JUST FOR FUN!!!

Bob did a redesign of the left end, adding 50 foot to the run line.



I didn't TQ, BUT by turn one in the ten minute main I was in first and finished that way!!!

Lil' Dover Short Course

Was looking good for a TQ and 1st, THEN Larry showed up!!!!!

He has gotten a handle on off road racn'!!!! :-)

Larry and Richard had a good lead on me AND PULLING AWAY!!! The sun caused some sweating of my forehead and the sweat got into my left eye, then my right, I was LUCKY to keep 3rd place!!!

Broke the SC-GT2 during practice, so that wasn't raced!!! :-(

FIRCC

Did a three lap test of the Novak esc, that was the only change to the SC10. WAY to much power!!! Took the Novak 6.5 Lite motor out and installed a Tekin Redline 10.5 motor. Still had to much POWER!!!! Was going to change AGAIN to a smaller motor (Speed Passion 13.5) until I found out I was already running the smallest motor compared to the other racers!!!!

Had the motor sensor wire come un-pluged two time and once from the esc!!! I've NEVER had this problem before!!

About minute 4 of the ten minute main, I JUST touched a corner pipe and broke the steering servo arm into, so NO steering. BUT I got to watch "The Chad" try for a track record of amount of laps in 10 minutes, racing traffic slowed him down :-(

Novak Havoc Pro SC esc is in the SC10 with a Novac 6.5 Lite motor, ready for CARPET Friday night under the AC!!!

Did a test run on the street in front of the house. Very SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!

As I was parting out the Speed Passion GT 1.1 esc, I found the white wire that hooks the esc to the receiver was broken 8-)

Replaced the receiver wire bundle, did a test >>> It's alive!!! IT'S ALIVE!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!

The "New" (used) Novak SC esc should be in the mail box tomorrow (Monday). Which ever of the two esc has the best spec's will go into the SC10 and the other into the J82.

Lil' Dover SC

I have NEVER seen so many 4wd NITRO SC's in one place in my life!!!! And, I got to race with them with the SC-GT2!!! Finished 4th, had 2nd until I jumped into a drain pit!!! Was able to get back by one 4wd nitro SC before the tone!!!

TQ'd the ele SC class and lead from turn two to the finish, lapped everyone but ME!!!! :-)

The GREAT, WONDERFUL, INCREDIBLE AND FABULOUS Speed Passion GT 1.1 speed control DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-(

This was one easy speed control to setup and fit to track needs!

CAN'T FIND ANOTHER ONE ANYWHERE!!! ;-(

Because of the above, raced the J82 with the LRP IA speed control that is JUNK!!! Has NO reverse lock out so IF you brake to long you go into reverse!!!!

Qual in 4th, was pushing the racer in 1st by lap two and push hard for two minutes before I landed a jump wrong and I never was close to him again! Finished 2nd :-)

Lil' Dover SC

Three classes today :-) 2wd, 4wd and NITRO!!!

The track crew is learning just how mush water to put on the track, they where 99.9999999% perfect!!

TQ'd 2wd SC class and ran away with the win after the 2nd place racer's battery dumped at the 6 minute mark!!! I'm sure he learned his leason >> Lipo or loser!!!

Got to race the GT2SC, not just race a qual', didn't matter IF I won cause I was with a Jato and a Losi 1.0 buggy converted to SC. The Jato didn't make it to the main, so the other racer and I just had fun racing NITRO SC!!!!

Lil' Dover (LD)

Some of the racers that raced at Farmers came to race, they ALL looked good in the rear view mirror as I finished 1st!!! :-)

Was GOOD to see some of the racers I have raced with the past two+ years!!!

Lil' Dover is one of the few tracks I know of that can be raced in either directions, did this today first two quals where counter-clock wise the 3rd qual and main was clock wise!!! Glad I practiced racing clock wise!!!

Lil' Dover

First race for this NEW track, they have a nice dirt oval. Now they have a offroad track on the inside of the oval.

Raced the SC10 in the 1st qual, had a bit of a handling problem >>> didn't have all the carpet offroad setup changed to clay offroad! Still was able to TQ the qual!! :-)

Raced the SC10-GT2 in the 2nd qual, was 7 sec faster :-) TQ'd that qual also!!!

Lined up at the rear of the pack so I could drive though the field and to get the 1st place trophy. At the 1/2 way of lap one, I hit a pipe and drove for four laps with only one front wheel steering! Got a guy to pit my truck and re-attach the link. Then I seen the left front was a LOT closer to the track than the right. Shock bolt came loose and the shock wasn't hooked to the a-arm so I had limited right hand steering!!! Still finished 2nd!! :-)

FIRCC Grand Opening for the OffRoad carpet track!!!

Got a SWEET carpet setup for the SC10!!! Didn't do me much good towards getting one of the four trophies that was available. Jeff, Greg and Paul showed up AND didn't break!!! I have NEVER beat these three at any time unless they broke!!!!!!!!

BUT a 5th isn't bad with those three in front!!

Got home by 2:15AM!!!!!!!!!!!! Lil' Dover races at 12 Noon just over 8 hrs from now!!!

Visited Lil' Dover for a GT2SC test for next weeks race. Learned a lot, like CHARGE the receiver battery!!!!!!!

When I got to FIRCC, went around back and cleaned the clay off my shoes from Lil' Dover!! :-)

Did some rear link and shock mount testing so I think I good for next Fri's Grand Opening!!!

Back in 2004 I got a AE 12L on road car that I run a bit on the street in front of the house. Took this to FIRCC, did a bit of carpet testing. They had changed to Oval for next Sat racing, so I wasn't able to test right turns!!! :-)

A racer told me to put some "Tire Sauce" on the tires, I told him I didn't want to ruin my 5 year old tires!!! He couldn't believe they where that old and STILL worked so well!!!!!!!

I thought I was doing OK being I had never drove a on road car on carpet, then a fast racer got on the track and was lapping me two times per my one lap!!!

Lil' Dover is at the very early steps of track construction. Dirt is in rough jumps and table top, with some tuning they should be ready to race in a week or two.

Florida Indoor R/C Complex (FIRCC) is ready NOW!!! Raced there tonight, first time on carpet SWWWWEEEEEEEEET!!!! The race setup wasn't that much diff then racn' on clay!! They have a onroad track and an oval all carpet :-)

How did I do? Traction was so high, destroyed a spur gear and blew a rear tire off the rim, in the qual's.

Finished 2nd in Mod SC.

In Plant City, FL a indoor (AC'd) carpet offroad track is opening 9/3/10 with a "Garnd Openning" in about two weeks!!

Waiting to see IF I work and how late Friday before I decide IF I'm going.

Lil' Dover is adding a offroad section inside their dirt oval! They are planing to race Saturday's!

IF I go to Plant City Friday, Lil' Dover is on the way so I may stop and have a look.

Read a "How I Did" a Associated GT2 into a SC10-GT by Greg Vogel in RC Short Course Driver issue by RC Driver mag. I went another way of doing this, he got a prototype chassie made, I just build a extention to the front, between the steering servo and the fuel tank.

Waiting for body mounts and some other bits to finish the build so I can get some pictures and do some testing on the track. Should be ready for some Smoky and Noisy MOD Short Course racing in a few days!!

GT2 is nitro powered so it will be >>>> Smoky and Noisy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY BIG >>> :-)

RAIN!!!! Everywhere BUT at the track!!! :-)

GREAT 12 minute SC main.

Chris passed Mike and I was we bounced around a bit on a double!!! Closed up to Chris in the moguls, passed him on the inside and held my line into the chicane, Chris hit a pipe and broke!! Mike got by me at 9 minute mark then he touched a pipe and had a ball cup come loose and I cruise to VICTORY!!!!

"e-shootout 2010"

DC used their short track, NO rain, NO bugs, FAST cars and CLEAN driving!!

Started about 5:30pm and finished by 10pm, Keith ran 3 5 minute qual and a 10 minute main per class.

Some first time racers, some first time racers at DC and many local fast guys (and girls) had a SUPER GREAT time. SC was the LARGE class(s) for the day!!

7/24/10 UPDATE!

Low turn out for Electric classes, there was a J Concepts Summer Tour race about 30 minute drive from 555 (Bartow).

My TQ in Short Course class from the 1st qual held up through the 2nd qual :-) At the tone we were racing FAST, lost 1st by he end of lap 2 and 2nd by lap 3 :-( Got my mind back into the race and started closing in on 2nd pasted him at the 10 minute mark, pasted 1st at the 13 minute mark. Put 2nd and 3rd down two laps by 14 minute mark as they ran out of lipo power!!!! Then I ran out of power at the 14 minute 15 sec mark!!! BUT have enough of a lead to keep 1st!!!

Got the new SC body done Fri. This is the body my brother got for me in IL when I was there for the "Vintage Gathering". It's a Proline HardCore for a Traxxas Slash, Proline doesn't make this body anymore because it has a built in spoiler and ROAR dosen't allow this in SC class. Fit my SC10 100%!!! SWEEEEEEEEEET!!!

What is missing is my name on the doors, when I find where I put those, the paint will be done!.

555 raceway in Bartow it ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matt and I drove over to get some ele truck racn' done!!! Haven't gotten "New" tires for months cause I've been racn' SC class. Just bearly beat Matt for 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was TQ in SC for a couple laps :-) during the first qualifier. Just before the SC main as I was removing a pinion gear from a motor the screw set broke and I drove a .050 allen driver through the tip and out the side my left index finger. :-( OUCH!!!!

Matt reminded me of a roll of electric tape in my pit box. Taped up the finger and to the drivers stand I went!!! Had the lead by turn 3, was in 2nd at the scoring line of the first lap and finished 3rd (10 seconds behind 2nd) by the end of the 10 minute main.

Met a kid, Jordon, who became the NEWEST "Make a RC Wish" kid. Was changing the pinion gear on that car when I stuck my finger.

One of the things I like about "Make a RC Wish" is the BIG eyes on a kid (AND Dad and Mom) when we hand them a complete ready to race RC car!!!

Found the shocks where NOT rebuilt right before last weeks race :-( Guess when my wife calls me to the dinner table I need to write down how many spacers I have put in the shock(s)!!! Left front and right rear had the amount of spacers that I wanted, the right front and left rear where each one washer short!!!

The Fendom 17.5 motor that I have in the SC10, Rooster (the racer who I got this from) had the motor timing set to 20 degrees. Set the timing to 0 degrees = NO POWER! Tried 10 degrees = SWEEET POWER. After 10 minute main motor temp was 153 degrees, just right!!!!

Ken worked his tail off getting the track ready!!! When I got to the track all that was needed was to water and water and water!!!! :-)

Assisted a racer get his Slash setup, adjusted rear hubs and right rear link, loaned him a transponder and Frank loaned him a full set of Goosebumps on Slash rims for the night.

Qualified 1st Stock SC 3rd over all, Made a race of it with Matt and Jeff for about 60 feet then the pack ran over me into the second turn and I was on the bottom and last (10th)!!!

Took 1 lap to get back to 3rd place, Matt (1st place Mod SC) passed me on lap 13 of my 16 laps. Jeff in 2nd got me on lap 16 and finished 1.6 seconds AND a lap in front of me.

I was still 1st in Stock SC, BUT in 3rd over all by two GREAT drivers!!!!

Farmers is moving to a new location and next Friday (6/18) will be the last race there.

I started racing at Farmers April 1006, their first off-road race, the laps where counted by kids with clikers!!! I won ele buggy with a RC10B4.

Stock Short Course

1st Qual >> 8 laps in 5:00.69 (5 minutes and .69 of a sec!!
2nd Qual >> 8 laps in 5:08.75
3rd Qual >> 8 laps in 5:06.77

I TQ'd (Top Qualified) all three!!!!

10 minute main, was ahead of 2nd by about 2/3 of a lap when the race computer crashed!!!!!!! :-( Best I can figure we where at minute 7 or 8. Farmers tried to do a re-race of 5 minutes BUT as they where rebooting the computer it died!!!!!

I never touched a pipe and ALL my laps until the computer crash where in the middle to upper 30 sec NOT one in the 40 sec's!!!!!!!!! My first PERFECT race until the computer crash!!!!! :-) AND :-(

How do I know that? Race announcer called my laps times every lap as I was the leader, which I did from the start tone..

Fellow Team Holy Rollers member from GA, Marc stoped by to race and fellowship with me at Farmers Hobby and Raceway. It's NOT often that out of state THR members see another member!!

Between qualifiers Marc's brother Sal joined Team Holy Rollers, who lives about two miles from me!!!!

So how did we do!

Mod Short Course a 4th for me and a 9th for Sal <<< not bad for a racer who hasn't raced in seven years!!!

4WD Short Course Marc finished 1st!!! SWEEEEEET!!!

Short Course

1st qual was 2nd fastest (VERY SWWWWWEEEEEET!) then the motor got HOT enough to UN-solder a motor lead!!!!!!!

Tired of this brushed motor deal, a dead motor a week!!!

Put the 13.5 Speed Passion system in, I'm done with brush motors

OH! I finished 3rd! Top three finished on the same lap, that's a GOOD day:-)

They put us in with the 4wd buggies, Hey, racn' is racn'!!!

Can NOT throw a J82 into a turn like you can a SC10 :-(

2wd buggies you have to watch your "P's" and "Q's" or they are NOT fast!!

The 4ws leader only lapped me two times!!! BUT I did finish 1st in 2wd buggy!!!

Stock Short Course

Finally!!!! Dave finished behind me!!! Only took two months for me to do this!!! Had some help though, the 1st place racer put him in the wall and missed me!!! :-) Dave couldn't catch me after the hit!!!

Even a 2nd that is in front of Dave is like a 1st!!! :-)

Assisted Matt in getting his RC10T4 setup like my T4, looks like I will have competition in Stadium Truck next week!!!!

Raced "Stock" Short Course only! Wasn't feeling 100%, so I choose to race one class.

100%!!! Completely forgot to charge my NEWEST Lipo battery, found out lap two of the first qualifier!!!

Lucky the Lipo wasn't killed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took some time to get some food and drink in me, by round two I was feeling MUCH better AND the Sun was down for the night!!

The racer who I have NEVER beat, asked me about setup he had a turning problem!!! What do I do??? Assist him or let him suffer a lose to me in the main! :-) Worked with him to make sure we had a fair race!!

I finished 2nd behind him with a CLEAR conscience!!

Stock Short Course, just as the first qualifier was called my motor dumped!!!! With a AE SC10 I'm limited to a 17 turn motor :-( The closest that I had was a 13x3!!! In it went, turned the radio throttle down from 150% to 120% hoping to make it like a 17 turn for power. Qualified 4th so I guess the radio was set OK. Finished 2nd!!! :-)

Electric Stadium truck qualified 1st of two trucks, finished 1st in class behind a Gas Truck and a 4wd buggy.

Rebuilt the 17 turn motor, so I'm hoping things will be OK for next Friday (5/7/10) night under the lights at Farmers!!!

Track crew (I'm one of the crew) was a bit slow at getting the track prepped today!! Wasn't until the 2nd round of qualifying that the track was ready!!

Raced "Stock Short Course" pushed the 1st place qualifier and winner most of the night BUT could never catch him!!! So I finished 2nd :-)

Was placed in 4wd buggy with the J82, there was two 4wd buggies, two 2wd buggies and 2 gas trucks in the main. Finished 4th over all, 1st 2wd buggy!

Track was ODD! High traction but slippery!!! Wish someone made "Hole Shot" style wheels for Short Course class.

Did qualify 1st in Mod SC BUT finished 3rd after a multi lap fight with two other racers.

Pulled the J82 off the shelf, they put me and two other 2wd buggy racers in the 4wd class. Qualified 4th , 2nd 2wd buggy in class, finished 5th over all, 3rd in 2wd buggy, Mike Sage got his buggy tuned and out ran me!!! :-)

Plan to race "Stock" Short Course next week so out comes the Tekin 10.5 brushless motor and a 17 turn brushed motor in it's place.

Another GREAT night of racn' under the lights at Farmers Hobby and Raceway. Track was very sweet!!!

Qualified 4th in Mod SC, about 4 minutes into the 10 minute main my spur gear got "Old" no teeth!!!! So I finished 9th :-)

Gas truck qualified 2nd, thought the track was in a condition to use Proline Hole Shot tires on the rear, total waste no traction went back to JConcepts GooseBumps was able to keep 2nd place all he way to the end.

Racn' under the LIGHTS at Farmers Hobby and Raceway is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!

Gas Truck qualified 2nd finished 1st!!!

MOD Short Course raced with 4wd SC, drove my tail off!!! I thought was about 4th until I saw the results :-) 1st in MOD SC 2nd over all, only ONE 4wd finished in front of me!!!!!!!!!

Got to do some more testing of the Losi XXXT/SC, put some AE SC10 wheels on the front and a set of JC Goosebumps on the rear. Had planed to race one qualifiers BUT I had forgot to put some Velcro on to mount a transponder!!!!!

Farmers Friday night under the lights!!! SWEEEEEEET!!!!!

First race of the night was gas truck, premo traction, it has been a long time since I could pull full trigger!!!!

By the 5th qual the traction was gone!!! Although I was in 3rd over all in qualifying I had to work my tail to get there. Made the A-main for Mod SC qual in 5th.

Finished 2nd in gas truck, haven't had to drive that hard in a LONG time! :-)

In MOD SC I was in 8th on lap 4, just behind 5th through 7th about to see how quickly I could move up when a left rear wheel came off!!! I was down four laps by the time I got back on the track. Was able to get one lap back so I only finished 3 laps down in 10th.

So, with all this extra time, I went on ebay and found a GREAT deal on a multi-charger to replace the Core-RC charger that died last Saturday.

It's a Poli Max B6 that charges just about every kind of RC battery.

SATURDAY RACN'!!!!!!!! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Test drove AND raced the Losi XXXSC. The test drive was planed the racing wasn't. Had a steering problem with the SC10, the servo fried, didn't have time to change it out so the Losi got a race test!

After getting the servo changed out, I think I hit every racers truck and every pipe during the 10 minute main, still finished 5th BUT just NOT a clean race on my part!!!

This should be the last day light club race for the year, back to Racn' under the lights on Friday nights!!!

Last Sunday (2/28/10), didn't race so good! Had some DUMB idea to try the stock/manual setup for the SC10 <<< DUMB, DUMB AND DUMBER!!!!! Would not turn, the rear would swing around under power and flip around under braking!!!!

After the first qualifier, I started putting 2/21/10 setup on the SC10. MUCH better for the 2nd qualifier BUT still not right! But did qualify 6th out of 10. I was in 3rd on lap 3 when a 4wd truck hit me at full power going into a turn, blew the servo link into three pieces!!! Was down 3 laps by the time I got the part replaced. Got one lap back, missed a another by 6.4 sec's!!!! Which would have moved me from 10th to 8th!!

When I checked the SC10 Monday I found that I had forgot about the front c-hub change!!! Took the 25 degree off and installed the 30 degree hubs, this should fix the handling problem.

The ProLine Caliber tires where in the mail box Wednesday, have them mounted on a set of JConcepts Rulux rims. Front and rear SC10 body mount came today (Friday) have those installed, new 5000 lipo is charged so LETS RACE!!!!

Traded a HPI Firestorm gas truck for a Losi XXXT for "Make a RC Wish" have put a chassis extender on with Short Course body mounts, hope to test it Saturday before racing begins.

Got a Spektrum DX2S in "Mint" condition from ebay. VERY SWEET!!!

Last summer I raced with my brothers DX3S and wanted one ever since.

There are some miner differences between the two radios BUT they aren't noticeable or needed by me!!

Qualified 3rd finished 5th got tied up in a turn on lap two, got behind by 20 seconds, just missed getting another lap by 6.5 seconds.

I was 20 seconds behind 4th and 28 seconds in front of 6th, it was like I was out there by myself!!!!

Still NOT a bad day for the first race with a SC10 chassis AND the Speed Passion GT 1.1 ESC. Had to turn the throttle (on the radio) down to 100 from 125, the SP ESC spec's are greater than the old ESC, will need some time to learn to manage the POWER!!!!

The SC10 chassis was in my mail box today! :-)

Put the "new" Speed Passion GT 1.1 in with the Tekin 10.5 motor in the "New" SC10!!

The GT 1.1 has more ZOOM than the GT 1.1 LPF. Same slipper setting, this didn't change as I put the "SC10 Cone" parts onto the SC10 chassis, during a test, the front wouldn't stay down :-)

Track was fast I'm normally a 40-42 sec a lap at Farmers, today low 36 to high 37's!!! SWEEEEET!!!

Had a problem with the motor or ESC at the six minute mark of the ten minute main went from 2nd to 6th in two laps!!!! :-(

They are planning to race next Sunday!

Waiting for a SC10 chassis from ebay!

Has a front bulkhead, steering servo, full steering rack, rear link mount and lower plate. Should be a easy unbolt from the "SC10 Clone" to a REAL SC10! :-)

Waiting for a Speed Passion GT 1.1 ESC*, already have a Speed Passion GT 1.1 LPF* so I know it's GOOD!!!

Also waiting for a Novak Super Sport Plus ESC* should have enough "Stuff" to have fun with SOON!!!!!

As I'm waiting for a track that is racing on Fri night OR Sat!!!

Put together a Traxxas Rustler Short Course truck. Put a 1 and 1/4 inch long extender between the chassis and transmission. Had some Traxxas Slash wheels on the shelf from a 1/8 buggy conversion of a Slash. Drives very well!

Had raced this in December of 2009 with 1/10 truck wheels and did very well!

Was doing some "yard" testing and ripped the teeth off the idler gear in the transmission, guess I need to set the slipper clutch better!!!

A bit of an update about T4SC.

Farmers is not racing as they get moved into their NEW hobby shop and build a track.

Last race on the "OLD" track got rained out, seems that has happened ALOT the past 12 months!!

I did get to put some laps in on a "SHORTened" track around the water holes. This was enough for me to get REAL SC parts LIKE!!!

Got a silver/blue body from the "Hitman" SWEEEET!!!!

Put a set of Pro-Line Bow Ties with AE rims on the front.

Trying to get some Pro-Line Calibers and AE rims for the rear, for a option to best fit the track conditions!

Also, looking to get a REAL SC10 chassis to replace the MOD T4 chassis I'm using!

Decided to stay with a Speed Passion speed control and a Tekin 10.5 Redline motor for 2010.

Put the Factory Team shocks from the T4 on, they are still setup for a "Lipo Lite", worked ok on the "SHORTened" track!!

Got to test the T4SC, my SC10 clone!! :-)

Put SC10 front wheels and Traxxas Slash rear wheels on, have some JConcepts GooseBumps tires and Rulux rims on the way to replace the Slash wheels.

Back to the test. With the above wheels, a SMC 5200 lipo battery, Teken 10.5 motor AND a lot of the rain water drained from the track I was ready!!! Second turn and third jump I was sold on SC wheels over the Stadium Truck wheels I had on the T4SC.

Now to find a track that is racing on Friday night or a Saturday!!!

Have some more tuning to do to the RC10T4SC truck, only finished 2nd :-)

Have had some odd lap times the last two races. I'm "normally" a 40 to 43 second lap time racer!!

Had two high 39's and today had three 38's one was 38.1!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy made the #24 numbers for me before he left for the COLD north!! So the body is done!!!!!

Farmers Scramble 2010

Learning how to setup a truck to race in the daylight, ALMOST un-doable!!!!

Glad they had 3 qualifiers, the first two where a total waste of my time!!!

I qualified 8th out of 8 trucks!!

Haven't qualified that poorly in a LONG time!!!

Setup by the main was still way off BUT good enough to equal last years finish >> 6th.

A racer have a radio/receiver/battery problem(s) and was about to pack up and just watch, he had paid $20.00 to race!!. When "Make a RC Wish" heard about his situation, stepped in and loaned him a "Modified" Duratrax BX buggy with a radio and LIPO battery to race. He was able to finish 6th!
