OH NO!!! Fri the 13th!!!!
ALL the bad things happened to the OTHER racers in Mod Short Course. :-)
Finished 1st and TQ'd Mod Short Course with the T4SC, w/the 11.5 CHEAP BL motor from Hobby King! BUT had a new Orion 3200 Carbon Lipo that I got from Greg M. Very SWEET power in that battery!

TQ'd gas truck but finished 2nd! Figured Shawn had the same tires from last week. My BAD!!! Beat me by 7 sec!!!

11/6/09 UPDATE
Found the problem with the Spektrum SR3000 reciever. Antenna wire isn't attached to the circuit board!!!! Time to heat the solder iron!!!

Found out why the wheel came off during the Mod Short Course 10 minute main. A racer by the name Dylan, passed me so fast that the wind as he passed me, became a left handed vortex that un-screwed the nut holding the wheel on!!! :-) ROFLOL!!!!!!!!!!!

The 11.5/3350kV motor is fairly nice, better than I thought it would be!!!
Had a problem with a Spektrum SR3000 reciever, guess I'll try to drop it off at Horizon when I'm in IL this month.
TQ'd and finished 2nd in Nitro Truck, Gough showed up, one of these days I'm going to beat him :-)
Qualified 6th in Mod Short Course (see Spektrum problem above), was doing well was up to third when a left rear wheel came off!!!! After I got it put back on I was able to get back on the same lap as the racer in 5th but about 1/3 lap from putting him behind me at the finish.
I'm thinking of just using the CORE-RC 3250 lipo as power to race. The SMC C-MAX 5200 just isn't, power wise, as nice!

On 10/14/2009 ordered a 11.5 Brushless motor from Hobby King, 21 DAYS later it shows up!!!! They need to get in gear like the sellers on ebay!!!! Ebay has a five star rating for sellers and IF your not getting Five Stars from your customers it cost you (the seller) $$$$$$
I've had 4 Novak, have 1 Speed Passion and 1 Tekin brushless motors and this one from Hobby King is a CHEAP (something). It won't come apart so you can clean the insides when dirt gets in OR replace a bearing <<< bearing DO go bad!!!!

Great night under the lights at Farmers!
Raced the RustlerSC qualified 3rd finished 3rd! Drove almost like a dream with a SMC C-MAX 5400 lipo battery for power, as good as the track was (didn't have the proper tires) couldn't get the power to the track. So, I changed to a CORE-RC 3250 lipo, that made the RustlerSC a dream to drive.

Hoped to add to my Gas Truck (GT) point lead BUT at the time I signed up to race I was the only GT in the pits, so I signed up for 2wd ele buggy. They put us in the ele truck class :-( I still finished 2nd, so I guess that will do :-)
Raced the shortened "Make a RC Wish" Duratrax Evader BX, BUT did not have the proper tires for that car either :-) What can be said about a "MRCW" car is we "Race Test" each car!!!!

Shocks for the RustlerSC was in the mail box today!
THANKS USPS!!!! :-)
Waiting for the Slash battery mount, should be here AND installed by Fri (10/30) night under the lights at Farmers Hobby and Raceway.
Took the test ESC and motor out, the Novak Explorer Sport (esc) and Trinity Monster Stock (motor) wouldn't be up to the task in MOD SC Class. So, in went a Novak Racer EX esc and a Trinity D5 Flatliner 10x1 motor, hope I don't have a problem with the differential!!! Put a SMC C-MAX 5200mAH 40C+ lipo battery in for a test run. Seemed to be as fast as My T4 is with the Speed Passion ESC and 13.5 Brushless motor.
I'll find out Fri night IF no rain!!!
Will take the T4SC as a backup, IF something happens and I don't have the parts OR the time to make a repair.
This could be fun!!! :-)

GREAT night of racing!!! :-)
Track crew changed how they prep the track, NO REAL watering of the track!!! They water about a foot each way from the pipes dividing the lanes, then use leaf bowers to blow the dust off the track surface.
This is a NEW way of racing on red clay for me!!! Did NOT get a real understanding until after two qaulifiers and a 10 minute main. Was able to get about 15 minutes of track time after the mains, to learn this style of track prep.
How did I do? Finished 2nd in Electric Truck with a 4th over all!!! They raced the 4wd buggies with Ele Truck.

Super Cup racing at Farmers!!!
99 entries, 7 classes, wet groove track = SWEEEEET day of racing!!!
I didn't race, as Farmers is my home track and I'm part of the track crew, I marshaled most of practice and all but 4 qualifiers and one main!!!

Other members of the track crew worked their tails off Fri night (after the rain) to get the track ready for Sat's racing. Bobby (race director) liked having race control on the south end of the drivers stand. Bobby said "I can see EVERYTHING from here!!"
Hope the rain will stay away so I can race on this Super Cup track Fri night!

Rain it seems, scared enough racers so NO racing!!! :-(

I'm still learning how to control a Tekin 10.5 brushless motor (I had a 13.5 motor before).

Another GREAT night of racing at Farmers!
A bit of lighting and rain at the end of round two's first qualifier had some racers running to put their stuff away!!! I was out marshaling so I was stuck out on the track. :-)
Seems there has been so much rain AND shoveling around the timing loop (wire) it's not reading every lap for every car!!!! This caused some upset with some racers. Which is completely understandable :-). A new "loop" is ready to be installed this week.
After the lighting, rain and loop problem, I was the only electric truck left!!! So I was place in with the stock and Mod Short Course, AND electric 4wd buggies. This was a VERY INTERESTING race!!! On lap two a ball stub pulled out of the front shock tower, I was three laps down by the time I got it fixed. Was only two laps down to 1st, 2nd and 3rd by the end of the 12 minute main.
This was my 3rd race with a Tekin 10.5 motor (was racing with a Speed Passion 13.5) LOT MORE POWER and SWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!

Got some update parts for the "Make a RC Wish" Rustler to replace the bushing parts. Put some 80% worn out race tires on for some track testing. I have been amazed by the drive-ability of this Traxxas truck!! Looking to have the Rustler ready by 8/21/09 to give to a kid.

Will test (IF NO RAIN) it's race readiness at Farmers 8/14, before we start looking for a kid to give this to.

GREAT night of racing at Farmers!
Lost a right steering link at minute 3 of the ten minute main!!! Took six laps to locate and install a replacement!!! 6th overall with a 3rd in Ele truck with the T4.
Short Course class was much different!!! Qualified 4th and by the fourth turn I was in first, lasted for five minutes then I started catching the back of the pack!!! Got put into the pipes enough for four racers to get around me. Worked my way back to 2nd, was about to pass the racer in 1st, the back of the pack got in the way and hitting a pipe took a rear shock off the T4SC, lucky the 4th place racer didn't catch me before the horn!!!!

Was going to DC in Avon Park Sat but because of the SuperCup race on the east coast no race!!

Bartow (555 Raceway)
Monkey drove over, haven't got to sit back and enjoy the beautiful Florida country side going to or from a RC race in YEARS!!! Thanks Monkey!!!
Lead for most of the 1st qualifier (3rd race of the day) for ele stadium truck. Missed a jump and got passed next to the last lap, the racer would have passed me within the next lap anyway, he was running about 3 sec faster a lap than me!! I had the wrong tires for the track surface AND he was JUST FASTER!!!
As the horn sounded to finish the 4th race >>> RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watched a EZ-UP roll through the north pit area as I was grabbing my EZ-UP, sure did get wet getting things into the cab of the truck!!!
SO! I guess I finished 2nd in Ele Stadium Truck!!! :-)

About half way back driving down Rt 37, we passed a alligator who was going south in the north lane about full speed! Thought Monkey was going to have a pants problem!
I've alway been concerned about the odd deer or hog out in the country like that coming back from Bartow or DC BUT I NEVER thought about a alligator!!

Took the T4SC to test a lipo battery I had build from two lipo batteries.
Track dried out before the first qualifier and I had problems with traction using "Old" BowTie tires!!!
TQ'd by a lap in qulifier two and finished 1st a lap ahead of 2nd place!!!

AMB not working NO Race
Race director could not get the AMB system to work so the transponder loop would not work, NO racing!
Drove the GT2 two full tanks worth, the sound of 30% Nitro, SWEET to my ears!
Was driving the SC10/T4/Slash, on the third lipo battey when the cell tabs burnt off!!!! There go's my 3cell Hong Kong "Cheapo" lipo!! Maybe in August I will put "Race" tires on it and see what she'll really do!!!! Drove and jumped SWEET with old tires!!!
Tested the FT T4 with the new Tekin 10.5 motor. This is one SWEET motor, I thought the Speed Passion 13.5 was good, BUT this Tekin 10.5 is GREAT!!!!

Thought it would be a RAIN out, BUT a GREAT night of racing for all who seen past the weather radar!!

Tq'd in ele stadium truck, 1st ele stadium truck in the 10 minute main, even after the battery came un-pluged!! Sounds awesome doesn't it!! There was only 3 truck so they put 2 4wd buggies and 1 2wd buggy in with us. 1 4wd buggy and the 2wd buggy finished in front of me. I was about 10 foot behind the 2wd buggy at the 8 minute mark, looking to pass him in about two turns when the battery came un-pluged coming off a big double jump!!!

Track was again :-) in GREAT shape the track guys did a great job getting the muck holes filled and the jump faces smoothed!!

UPDATE on the Core-RC 3250 lipo!
Found the black balancer wire at the battery was loose/off. Can charge the lipo BUT not balance it!!! Waiting a response from Core-RC local supplier.

Fri 5/29/09
Farmers track was it's SWEET, High (damp) traction!!! After a problem with a new motor system that killed my Core-RC Lipo battery during the first qualifier. I put the "old" Speed Passion 13.5 brushless motor system back in the T4 with a CHEAP Hong Kong (HK) lipo battery. TQ'd for the 8 minute main, 11 laps later in the main, WINNER!!!! 1st after lapping all the other stadium trucks!!!
The HK lipo isn't as powerful as the Core-RC lipo BUT :-) a win is a win!!!

Tues 5/26/09
Tried to race Fri night 5/22 RAINED!!!!
Tried to race Sat afternoon 5/23 RAINED!!!!

Put the "new" carb on the Dynamite 12Spd in the "FUN" GT2. It won't TUNE!!!!!!!
SO I did the SMART thing! Walked away! Came back after an hour, tuned right in!!!
Tossed the manual and went by how it sounded and responded! After running a tank of 25% (nitro) Byrons fuel through the "FUN" GT2, the engine temped at 208 degrees. Didn't have a body on it so that maybe a false reading. BUT it should be close enough for now. Was going to have some "FUN" with the GT2 tonight BUT IT RAINED!!!!!!!!!

Tues 5/19
Needed a play around FUN kinda RC to just have fun with, RACING can NOT be fun at times!!!! Also, trimming the flowers for my wife JUST DOESN"T DO IT!!!!
Have a extra GT2 that I had just got the engine broken in. So I put a soft race setup on it (old race tires). Ordered a new carb cause the old one wouldn't tune!!! The tune problem was ME, I was going the wrong way with the high speed screw!
PLUS I still have the body mounts for the Slash body :-)

Getting the GT2 ready for next Fri at Farmers, I noticed I still had the 3/16 "Up" stops on the front shocks from when I had the Slash body on the GT2. The "up" stops are the reason for the nosing over I was having last week at Farmers.

Have all the "Strength" up grades done to the T4. A lot of gas truck bits!!!!

Farmers 5/8/09
Qual'd 3rd in Ele Stadium Truck with the GT2 nitro truck, finished 4th! Not to bad with the track going away in places. Had a problem with the GT2 nosing under going over jumps!! Everything is the same as the last time I raced it! It maybe that I'm driving it like the T4 and backing off to soon coming off the jumps!

Left before I got the results for the Mod Slash class. I was racing a "New" car, I had a old T4 chassis, cut it into two parts and put a 1 inch piece of aluminum in to connect the two parts. This gave me a "SC10" style chassis. Worked VERY well, to bad some of the Mod Slash drivers can't hold there line. I was in 2nd half way through turn one at the start, 3rd 2/3 through that turn, LAST by the end of that turn!!!! Every other lap I was t-boned at that turn!!!!!!
When I get the Mod Slash results will update this post.

After the second watering of the track it was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1st in Electric truck!
2nd in Slash with the Nitro Slash!!!
7 minute mains, had about half a Coke bottle cap of fuel in the Nitro Slash tank at the end of the race!!!!

Had a flash and a letting the smoke out of my Core-RC battery charger just before the 2nd qualifier! WARRANTY >>>> Having the Schumacher Factory Guys (Adam and Shawn) racing at Farmers every week make owning anything that Schumacher Racing sales a NO problem ownership!!

Farmers Fri 4/24/09
Finished 2nd in 1/10 Truck's 8 minute A-main with the 3250 CORE-RC Lipo, Speed Passion 13.5 brushless powered T4! The track was just SWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
NO all the fast guys didn't break!!!!

Finished 4th in Mod Slash's 8 minute A-main with the Slash bodied nitro powered GT2!!!! Even after I got t-boned AND flamed-out in the first turn on the second lap, I WAS in 2nd at the time closing in on 1st!!!!! I got down two laps getting the Nitro Slash back to the pits and started!!

Two guys came to me and asked IF I was the "Make a RC Wish" guy! We are getting a Losi XXXT truck and a Associated RC10B3 buggy to give to some lucky kids!!! As soon as we get them we'll go over them to make sure they are ready to RACE!!!

Farmers 4/17/09
I turned 58 and a half today! To celebrate I raced in a new class for me, I put my old Slash body on my Associated GT2 nitro truck. Qualified 4th in the B-main by the 4th minute of the 6 minute race I was in first!!!! This put me into the A-main YEAH!!!!!!!
Started in the 9th position, finished 6th only 4.5 second behind 5th. As the only nitro truck in the race I had to stop for fuel, as they where electric (battery power) didn't during the ten minute race. Takes about 15-20 seconds to come into the pits to have your fuel person fill you up.

Had a full class (10) of Stadium truck, just missed getting another lap (for a total of 14) by 1.43 seconds!!! Finished 4th racing in a 10 minute A-main.

Fri 4/10/9
During the 2nd qual, I hit (bashed into) almost every truck!!!!
Just plain BAD driving!!!

Ripped the left front a-arm loose, truck drove better that way!!!!!!! :-)

Farmers 3/27/09
109 race entries!!!! SWEET!!!
Springrollz Concessions team mate qual'ed 7 in Slash A-main. Was in 2nd at the 5 minute mark, then 3rd and 4th made a sandwich of him on the big jump on to the table top!!! Him had time to get back to 3rd, before he broke. He made repairs and finished 7th.

Have the T4 setup, turns good, has good speed and jumps great! ALL better than I can drive it. Qual'ed 4th, was 3rd into the first turn than the pack, jumped me and rolled me on to my top. Came out of the first turn LAST, made up six places and finished in 4th.

Fri Night at Farmers!
Qual 4th, finished 3rd after a lap of rubbing with "The Chad". I did the rubbing not Chad, couldn't hold my lines.
Still learning how to race a Brushless (motor) Lipo (battery) Factory Team T4!
The power is MUCH diff compared to a brushed (motor) NIHM (battery) Team Kit T4.

Seen petit.com has another of my race setups listed! They've had a old B4 race setup for two years, now they have my Lipo Light T4 race setup listed! I'm the only amateur that has a setup(s) listed!!!
