Raced SC and 1/10 Outlaw classes.

Had TQ in the first qual, lost it in the second qual!
Finished 2nd by 5 seconds!!
Outlaw
Had the lead coming out of turn 1, was 7th by turn 2!!
Worked up to 2nd, just after half way 3rd got in gear and passed me!! Beat me by 6 seconds, same racer I beat in SC by 5 sec!!!

Rob finished 2nd in 4wd SC and 4th in SC.

Planned to race VTA or 13.5 TC.
Tried to race 13.5 TC BUT the ESC didn't want to, one of the wires coming from ESC to receiver broke! :-)

TQ'd both qual's and won the main!!!!

GREAT time in the Smokies.
Day one. Took Gena to see Cataract Falls, New Found Gap were Pres. Roosevelt made the Smokies a National Park.
Day two. The Sinks, Meigs Falls, and the north bypass over look towards Gatlinburg.
Day three. Roaring Fork Motor Trail, 1000 Drips Falls and MORE Smokies!!!

Surprised Gena with a unplanned stop at Cumberland Fall State Resort in KY.
GREAT rainbows in the mist from the falls!!!
Within an hour after we left the falls we were in London, KY hospital after Gena fell coming out of the door at a gas station. 25 hours later a >> Reverse Full Shoulder Replacement was done to her right shoulder.
May 22 drove to Selmer TN to pickup Anne (youngest daughter), left Selmer May 23, got back to hospital, at 6pm that night Anne assisted in getting Gena in the car. We drove 14 hours to get home >> Ellenton FL.
Anne (ex Army) ran 3rd shift ER in Iraq, she knows how to pack a solder in a Humvee to get them back to ER.

We are planning to finish our >>>> Journey in October. We DON'T do trips any more!!!!!

Ever have one of >>> those days <<< !!!!!
Practice went fine JUST FINE motor 132 after 12 laps, so I changed the motor timing from "O" to "10" advanced >>>

First qual was running 2nd, still getting the feel of the BOOSTED 25.5 when the inside of the TC looked like a NASCAR car with a blown motor. SMOKE!!!!!!!! Thought I had a lipo let go. Motored did a melt down!!!
Odd bit I seen the smoke inside the body moved forward and out around the front tires NOT out the back!!!! Interesting AERO stuff to look into!!!!
Motor was 260!!!!!
Pulled motor and ESC out, put the backup 17.5 system in. Motor is a 8 year old 17.5 Fantom I!!!!!!!
Second lap of warmup of 2nd qual, car did a 180 in the infield. Went to get it, loose front wheel. Got to the start with 30 to go. Lap 5 car did the same 180 but a diff part of track. right rear ball stud pulled out of hub <<<< DID NOT HIT ANYTHING!!!!
Figured I'm in a B-main!!!!! Won that, bumped to A-main started 7th.
Going to make HISTORY in this main, about 4 minutes in.
Go at the tone, 4 cars into the outer wall, I go by in 2nd <<< not bad from 7th. Before I got back to the timing loop was in 3rd. Hey that's not bad, with a 8 year old motor. 3 minute mark got passed, in 4th still not to bad as I just lapped 5th. Here comes the HISTORY moment >>>>> car does ANOTHER 180!!!! Figured I'm broke, walk to the marshal, as I'm checking the car only three wheels will turn, as I turn the "non-rotating" wheel a ROCK falls out and I'm back on the track racing 6 laps down!!!!!!!
In the 10+ years of racing I've NEVER had a rock
get inside the rim and lock it to the hub!!!!!!!! WE ARE racing ON
ROAD, sealed asphalt, there ARE NO ROCKS on the track!!!!!!!!!! 
SO >>>> IF you think you have seen everything and your some RC guru (me), YOUR NOT!!! You will learn something NEW everyday EVEN if you don't want to!!!!!!!
Finished 7th where I started!!

In the lead with a minute and a half to go, SC5M slowed down to VTA speed, a few feet later 2nd a half lap down had a back marker put him into a wall. At this slower speed, got in front of 2nd, who is a lap down now. Thinking I have another motor going bad, just blimped the throttle as I came out of every turn and rolled to the next turn >>>> HOPING 2nd couldn't make up the lap.
DIDN'T know that the back marker had damaged 2nd place and he couldn't keep up with me!!!

A wire came un-soldered from the motor!!!
I did NOT know a brushless sensored motor would run with only 2/3 working!!!!!!!!!!!

St. Joseph Knights of Columbus (Bradenton, FL)

Hobby Marketplace and RC Wish partnered, to make a GREAT day for many kids others then the three who received RC's today.
Kids AND their parents got to see and be part of a NORMAL RC race day. Learn how to drive a RC.
The 5 1/16 scale Traxxas Slashs were provided AND maintained by Hobby Marketplace. They brought their complete timing system with a sound system so the kids and parents could hear lap by lap what was going on!!!
We got along so well >>>>> Hobby Marketplace and RC Wish will partner AGAIN at the next Car Show by St. Joseph Knights of Columbus.
RC Wish provided 2 ECX Boost buggies as award(s) to who won the Kids 2 races, 1 per race.

This young man couldn't qual fast enough for the 2nd race, checked with his Dad, the kid didn't have a RC. HE DOES NOW!!!! :-)

Qual'd 3rd was in first almost to the timing line on the first lap! Was 1 foot short, when I piped the SC5M and 2nd and 3rd got by!!! A few laps later 1st broke, so I got a 2nd!!

TQ'd both qual's, just as the track crew was setting up the "Robby Gordon" jumps they put pipes through the center of the jumps so we couldn't drive around/by the jumps. Seems they forgot >> my racing background is in OFF ROAD!!!
Was looking to lap 2nd place for the 3rd time at the finish!!!
