SS Hobbies and Raceway (Tampa, FL)
Saturday night under da' lights!!!
Steve did a nice layout on the track, lot of FAST area's and a lot of slow area's very balanced.
SC10
Same everything as Yupers last week, except the front top shock mounts, moved them out to hole #2.
TQ'd for the main, lost my mind at the tone and spun the SC10 going into the first turn. Had a 3 foot lead going into the turn, braked to much!!!! Came out in last!!! By lap four I was 20 foot behind 1st, lap 6 I was on him. Touched a pipe and it took three more laps to be on his tail again. As we lapped the 6th place racer, 1st got by him, I was pushed into a pipe!!! Finished 10 foot behind 1st!!!

TQ'd first qual, so I thought race the GT2-E in the 2nd qual, tq'd that qual also.
Looked at the rear tires on the GT2-E after the 2nd qual, this is the 2nd race for these tires. They are GONE!!!! This is NOT a good thing at $20 a set, gone in 12 minutes!!!
After the problem with the SC10 at the tone I was a bit to careful and Kenny got by me as we went into turn two. Took my time making up the 10 foot lead he had on me. As we come up to 3rd place, I started to make my move, took one more lap to cleanly get by Kenny. Two turns later Kenny piped his truck and I was driving away. Lapped Kenny with two laps to go.

Yupers (Winter Heaven, FL)
Final race of FL State Sportsman's Series with AWARDS after the days racn'.
SC10
Ken (series leader) and I traded 1st, time wise, every lap during the 1st qual. That was the MOST fun I've had during this series!!!
Still finished 2nd in every qual and the main for a 2nd over all.
The SC10 was just SWEEEEET every qual and every main!!

GT2-SC
Race in both qual's very HAPPY with how the engine ran and the truck handled. BUT!
SC10
Raced the 8 minute main lipo powered instead of Nitro powered!! Managed to finish 5th of 10.

Steve (a Team Holy Rollers member) asked to race the GT2-E. He TQ'd and finished 1st!!!!
I was racn' the T4 and had hopes to make Steve sweat for 8 minutes. Qual'd in 3rd, muscled my way by 2nd in the first turn and was just five feet behind Steve 1/4 into lap two when a MIP pin disappeared from the left axle!!!!

Had problems in 1st qual only finished 2nd!!!
As I was prepping for the 2nd qual noticed that the front was still set to SS tracks spec's!!!!!!
And the left front shock was a bit low on oil. Changed oil in both front shocks, moved the shock top mounts to "0" hole from "2" hole. Put a set of BarCodes (Gold) and I was ready to race.
Marty choose to run three qual's << SWEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!
Still started 2nd!!!!!!
After 8 minutes of racn' in the main finished 2nd!!!!

Ronnie did ANOTHER track redesign!!! SWEEEET!!

Replaced the steering servo to a Savöx 0125. Didn't change anything else from last weeks race. Same results!!! Alan is getting to be a FOUR letter word!! :-) Finished 2nd!!

Goosebumps were THE tires last week, this week it was M3 Proline Calibers on the rear.
Finished 4th behind racers that I've never beat unless they broke!!!

TQ'd the first qual BUT just as I walked on to the drivers stand Alan called me by name and said "Hi" just to let me know he was there!!!!!!!!
Finished 2nd in the main behind Alan!!!!!! :-)

Just could not get this thing to work, tried almost every rear tire I had with me and just could NOT power out of the turns!!!!
The best of what I had was JConcepts Goosebumps!!!!!! Haven't used this tread in over 2 years!!!! Last time was at Farmers Hobby and Raceway!!!
Finished 3rd!!!
Side bit after I got home found I had the front shocks in the wrong top mount hole for SS track!!! This was causing the rear to rotate to quickly coming out of a corner. <<< reason I couldn't power OUT OF A TURN!!!

Arrived about 7am, the tracks lighting was on, first time for me to see the track under lights!!!
Track was a bit damp from the night dew, by the first qual the GROOVE started to develop.
Started with Proline M3 Calibers front and rear, good enough for 3rd. BUT I wanted a better starting grid place. JConcepts "Gold" Double Deeson the front and JConcepts "Blue" Subcultures on the rear and I was ready for qual #2. During a warm up lap, the left rear a-arm came a part BIG time, spent the 8 minute qual in the pits rebuilding the rear of the SC10.
A few months ago, I had put a alm rear a-arm mount on the SC10. As I was repairing the broken a-arm found the alm mount was broke also!!!!!!! AND was twisted!!! Changed to a stock plastic mount, after a treatment of Red Dot to the tires, was ready for the 8 minute a main.
Go at the tone!!!
Crossed the line in 3rd just as I started, for lap one. Jumped over #2 in the front triple for second and was watching first pull away, lap two!! Then he piped it (lap 5), and I was by him, we both were running the same line before his pipe problem. He was on me for a lap then piped again two laps later he was on me again and piped it. Now I'm sure I had a big enough lead, that he would NEVER catch me. ONE lap later he was on me!!! After nine laps in the lead I miss landed coming over the cross-over, went wide into the corner and he passed me on the inside of the turn.
Even tho he got by I felt good, during those 9 laps we had lapped the rest of the racers!! Ken passed me for the lead at lap 14 of the 26 laps he had, then PASSED me again on lap 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were talking after the race (I knew I knew him from some place but couldn't place him), asked him if he had raced the first race (two months ago) of the series. He had, he beat me at that race also!!!!! But he ONLY passed me once two turns before the finish at SS Raceway and Hobbies!!!!!!
