April 30 - May 10

Gena and I visited family and friends in the Smokys.

Monday, did 3 hikes << planed these for 4 months!!!

Laurel Falls on Laurel Falls Trail!!!!  SWEEEEEEET!!!!

Tuesday, Gena and I hiked a ADA trail. She wants to do MORE!!!!

Wednesday, 2 more trails for me.

Thursday, had planned to be downtown Gatlinburg with friends for Gena and my 28th first date anni!!! BUT Kelly didn't feel well AND over 90 mph winds!!!! Gatlinburg lost power so we drove to their house in Rutledge, TN.

Friday, drove to IL to see my Dad and Mom. Stopped at Cumberland Gap (2nd visit).

Saturday, time with my brother <<<< priceless!!!!

Sunday, family feed!!!!!! AND Pro, pictures!!! (waiting for them)

Monday, more time with my brother.

Tuesday, left for FL. Stopped in Chattanooga to see Point Park.  : -)

Wednesday, home. To get things ready to move to Rutledge, TN.

Forgot how GREAT these race and how bad they drive compared to todays RC's!!!!

Finished 4th.

Got the old SC out for some racing FUN!!!!!

Only raced it in the 2nd qual. As we were lining up superboy asked why I'm racing a 10 year old RC. For the FUN of it I told him. Finished 2nd in that qual in front of superboy!!!!

First time there was a racing battle in a main, for me there.

9 in class, was in 3rd first turn, 8th in 2nd turn!!! Worked back up to 3rd <<< most fun I have had in months!!!!!

SS Hobbies (Tampa, FL)

Rob picked me up for our 4th visit to this SWEEEEEET track. We hoped for a good day of racing.

As we were preping for round 2 of quals. Paul (he pitted next to us) asked Rob about gearing his brushed motored Slash. Rob said ask Terrance

Paul didn't have the needed pinion gears, RC Wish donated them. Did a check of his race setup, loaned tools to make changes AND what changes to make.

Paul's Slash is now >> Faster >> Jumps better >> Turns cleaner!!

Hadn't plan to race it, just wanted to see how the new steering worked on a HIGH traction track.

LIKED the way the T2 jumped, turned and PASSED two T5's during practice.

9 in ST class, finished 6th !!!!!!

3. NEW JC LiL Chasers on the rear
4. Steering 100% to 90% (to much steering)

Another visit to SS!!

Very little bits of change from last week. Most were just fine checking to make sure everything was correct.

One big change, front wheels. 3/4 gone M3 Proline Hole Shots. Hoping the groove was on the surface, it was!!

TQ'd both qual's and won the main!!!!
